Iran has denounced a new attack on its nuclear power plant in Bushehr, marking the third incident in ten days, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The attack occurred on Friday evening, without causing damage to the active reactor or radiation emissions, according to statements from Iranian officials. Bushehr, the only operational nuclear power plant in Iran, was previously attacked on March 17 and 24, without any reported damage. Following the latest attacks, Russia evacuated its personnel from the plant built with Russian technology, which became operational in the 2010s.
Additionally, Israel announced that it struck two other nuclear sites in Iran, including the reactor at Arak and a uranium processing plant in Yazd province. Nuclear power plants in Iran remain under increased international scrutiny in the context of geopolitical tensions.
