Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai said European countries were negligent in implementing the 2015 nuclear deal, which was marred by the unilateral US withdrawal in 2018. Iran accuses the West of failures and threatens to scale back nuclear commitments in response to the failure to deliver. Iran is currently enriching uranium to a level of 60%, well above the limit set by the deal, and Paris, London and Berlin are threatening to reinstate UN sanctions.
