Iran attacked two of the largest aluminum factories in the world on Sunday morning, located in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, raising fears of an escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards claimed responsibility for the missile and drone attacks on the Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) and Emirates Global Aluminium (Ega) factories, causing significant damage and injuring several employees. These factories, having ties to American companies, are essential for supplying the U.S. military industries.
Additionally, the Revolutionary Guards threatened to strike American universities in the region in retaliation for the attacks on infrastructure in Iran.
In the context of ongoing attacks, diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the conflict are intensifying, with meetings scheduled between officials from several countries.
