The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said it is closely monitoring new trade tariffs announced by the US, which include a 50% increase on copper imports from Brazil. The IMF warns that global economic uncertainty remains high and urges governments to work together for a stable trading environment. Although economic activity has picked up slightly, the real impact of the tariffs will be felt more strongly in the second half of the year.
