Peter Szijjarto, the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, called for the cessation of EU financial support for Ukraine, following the corruption scandal in Kiev.

The Hungarian Foreign Minister, Peter Szijjarto, criticized the European Union for continuing financial support to Ukraine, stating that there is a corrupt system and a "war mafia" in the country. In a press conference, he said that the President of the European Commission should stop the payments and demand an immediate financial approval, instead of proposing the allocation of another 100 billion euros to Ukraine.

His comments came against the backdrop of recent resignations in Kiev, including that of the Minister of Justice, following a corruption scandal in the energy sector. Szijjarto emphasized that Ukraine's prospects are negative and rejected the idea that time would work in its favor, mentioning that Budapest will support any peace solution proposed by President Trump.
