Hungary has taken a significant step in the field of nuclear energy by partnering with Synthos Green Energy for BWRX-300 reactor technology. The agreement, signed by the Hungarian company Hunatom, aims to prepare the necessary infrastructure for the deployment of this American technology. The Hungarian foreign minister emphasized the deepening of relations with the United States in various fields. Hungary currently owns a nuclear power plant with four Soviet reactors and plans to build small modular reactors in the light of delays in the Paks 2 project with Rosatom.
