<p>Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that the European Commission's proposal to ban Russian gas imports is a serious violation of member states' sovereignty and jeopardizes the energy security of Hungary, which depends on Russia for 80% of its gas. The European Commission plans to phase out imports of Russian fuels, including gas, by 2027, but Szijjarto calls the move aggressive and shows the failure of sanctions against Russia.
