Houthi insurgents in Yemen have said they will target US ships in the Red Sea if the United States joins Israel in attacks against Iran. The group's spokesman, Yahya Saree, emphasized that the Houthi actions are a reaction to perceived aggression against Iran. Since the start of the conflict in the Gaza Strip, the Houthis have carried out rocket and drone attacks on Israel, claiming they are acting in solidarity with the Palestinians. Israel accuses the Houthis of receiving support from Iran to destabilize the region.
