Hong Kong's League of Social Democrats (LSD) has announced its disbandment due to intense political pressures generated by the crackdown imposed by the National Security Law 2020. It becomes the third major opposition party to close in the past two years, leaving the city without an official voice of pro-democracy opposition. The LSD, co-founded in 2006, has been active in organizing protests, but legal threats have significantly restricted public mobilization.
