Honda Motor will recall 406,290 vehicles in the United States due to a manufacturing defect that may cause the aluminum alloy wheels to detach. The recall affects Civic models manufactured between 2016 and 2021, which are equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels offered as optional accessories.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that Honda dealers will inspect the affected vehicles and replace the hubs and wheels free of charge, where necessary. So far, Honda has not reported any accidents or incidents caused by this issue.
