The U.S. House of Representatives summons Hillary Clinton to a closed-door hearing to discuss her connections with Jeffrey Epstein. If she had not accepted, Clinton would have been accused of defying Congress. The hearings will take place at the Clinton couple's home in Chappaqua, New York, and Bill Clinton will testify the following day. Both have been subpoenaed by the Republican chairman of the committee, James Comer, and have criticized the move, claiming it is a partisan action.

Hillary Clinton has denied meetings with Epstein but acknowledged that she had contacts with Ghislaine Maxwell. Bill Clinton admitted that he flew on Epstein's plane but denied any illegal involvement. The hearings revive the Clinton family's experience with political investigations, considering that both have previously testified before Congress. Democrats believe the investigation is a political maneuver, while Republicans argue that the goal is to clarify the connections with Epstein.
