Torrential rain has hit the Canary Islands again, with Tenerife and Lanzarote hardest hit. Pictures show flooded towns with cellars and houses damaged and roads closed. The local government issued a rain warning and activated the Special Civil Protection Plan. The Meteorological Agency has extended the yellow alert for the affected areas, warning residents to avoid traveling.
