According to CNN, Hamas has rejected Israel's proposal to release the hostages, demanding instead an end to the war, the withdrawal of Israeli troops and humanitarian aid. Israel warned that without information about the hostages, it would not continue negotiations. The Hamas delegation arrived in Cairo for talks optimistic of a ceasefire.
