In the context of recent discussions, Hamas leader al-Hayya reaffirmed the organization's commitment to implementing the peace plan proposed by American President Donald Trump, aimed at reducing the suffering of the population in Gaza and initiating territorial reconstruction. International mediators are working on a roadmap that includes the disarmament of Hamas and other Palestinian militant groups, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, and the transfer of administration of Gaza to Palestinian technocrats.
However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected the latest version of Trump's plan, stating that Israel will not withdraw from controlled areas until Hamas is completely disarmed. It is also unclear whether al-Hayya will meet with the American and international officials involved in the negotiations. Separately, Jared Kushner discussed with the Egyptian president the adherence to the obligations of the ceasefire agreement.
