Colombian President Gustavo Petro has been the target of verbal attacks from American President Donald Trump, who compared Colombia to Venezuela and accused it of being led by a "sick man" involved in drug trafficking. Petro responded to these statements, calling them a reflection of Trump's "senile brain" and emphasized that true supporters of freedom are being denigrated by Trump. In a sign of protest, Petro announced that he will organize a demonstration in Bogota to defend the country's sovereignty, warning that he is prepared to take measures against threats he considers illegitimate. Demonstrations are also scheduled to take place in other cities in Colombia, and the main rally will be held in Plaza de Bolivar.
