The Ukrainian agent accused of killing the woman suspected in the Monaco bombing changes the statement.

Vladislav Reut, an active agent of the Ukrainian military intelligence service (GUR), has been arrested in connection with the murder of Anastasija Berezovska, suspected of attempted murder of the multimillionaire Vadim Ermolaiev in Monaco.

In court, Reut stated that he denies the accusations and shifted the responsibility onto Vitalii Jikovici, a former employee of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). The case has drawn attention due to Reut's status and the unclear circumstances of the explosion in Monaco. President Zelensky promised additional information. Reut initially admitted that he shot at Berezovska, but now claims that he was threatened by Jikovici.

Jikovici's lawyer contests Reut's new version, while prosecutors assert that the two acted together. The case raises questions about possible motives, including corruption or ties to Russia, and both suspects remain in pre-trial detention.
