Activists from the group Extinction Rebellion, including Greta Thunberg, staged a protest at the Mongstad refinery, calling for a halt to the oil and gas industry in Norway. Thunberg emphasized that fossil fuels are leading to destruction and accused oil producers of contributing to the climate crisis. The week-long protest will call for a transition plan away from fossil fuels.
