During an official visit to Israel, German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt stressed the need for a strategic partnership in cyber defense, saying that military defense is not enough. The initiative is part of Germany's commitment to modernize its defense capabilities and contribute to NATO. Bavaria's prime minister, Markus Söder, also called for Germany to be equipped with 2,000 interceptor missiles for a defense system similar to Israel's 'Iron Dome'.
