Germany is considering buying up to 2,500 armored combat vehicles and 1,000 Leopard 2 tanks as part of NATO's efforts to deter Russia. This follows calls for the alliance to contribute up to seven combat brigades over the next decade. The total order could reach €25bn and final approvals could be given by the end of the year.
