Olaf Scholz met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, expressing concern about the high number of civilian casualties and the insufficient humanitarian aid reaching Gaza. Scholz emphasized the need for a durable ceasefire and spoke of improving conditions for aid distribution. The call is unusually harsh for Germany, one of Israel's staunchest allies.
