In an appearance on Fox News, Kellogg suggested the establishment of a new international alliance that would include leaders such as Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as countries like Japan and Australia. Kellogg referred to Article 13 of the NATO treaty, which allows a party to leave the organization one year after notification, as a possible solution.

He emphasized the need to redraw defense alignments, proposing collaboration with European nations willing to engage, such as Germany, Poland, and Ukraine. Victoria Coates, former Deputy National Security Advisor, supported Kellogg's concerns, stating that NATO has proven to be an 'insignificant' alliance in the face of major conflicts. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo added that the current state of NATO requires a fundamental rethinking of relationships and trust in allies.
