Severe storms in Catalonia have caused flooding and material damage, prompting firefighters to intervene in several regions. In Cubelles, two people are missing after being swept away while crossing a bridge. The authorities issued a red alert and emergency services treated more than 70 people, without serious cases. Bad weather also affected rail and air transport, with trains suspended and one plane damaged by hail. Criticism for the authorities' lack of preparedness comes in the wake of a tragic episode in 2024.
