Finland has announced that it has joined CORPUS, an initiative aimed at the coordinated procurement of weapons for Ukraine.

The Finnish defense forces announced on Monday the country's accession to the Coalition for Resilient Procurement and Unified Support (CORPUS), an alliance made up of seven states, including Ukraine, Denmark, Italy, Norway, the United Kingdom, and Sweden.

CORPUS was established in Kyiv on April 30 at the initiative of Ukraine and aims to coordinate the procurement of defense equipment. This collaborative platform combines Ukraine's experience in procurement and maintenance during wartime with the expertise of partners in developing defense capabilities.

The coalition's objectives include improving transparency in arms procurement, increasing the resilience of the supply system, and deepening long-term cooperation between Ukraine and European partners. CORPUS is open to other states wishing to join, provided they adhere to the cooperation memorandum signed in Kyiv.
