The bill initiated by Fratelli d'Italia, led by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, aims to ban the wearing of the full veil in schools, universities, and other public places. This is part of a broader initiative against separatism, which includes strict regulations for the funding of mosques and harsher penalties for arranged marriages. FdI deputy, Sara Kelany, emphasized the need to combat enclaves that apply Sharia law instead of the Italian legal system.
