FC Basel cancels Kanye West's concert due to antisemitic comments

FC Basel has decided to cancel Kanye West's concert, scheduled for June, due to the scandal generated by anti-Semitic comments made by the artist in the past.

The club, which manages events at the St. Jakob-Park stadium, conducted a thorough analysis of the request to hold the concert, concluding that it cannot provide a platform for the artist in accordance with its values. This decision comes after officials from a stadium in Poland recently announced the cancellation of a similar concert, and the United Kingdom has banned West from performing as a headliner at a festival.

Additionally, the rapper, now known as Ye, apologized for his behavior, which he attributed to untreated bipolar disorder, retracting previous statements of admiration for Adolf Hitler.
