<p>The private survey published by Caixin/Markit showed that the PMI index for the manufacturing sector beat forecasts, reflecting an acceleration in growth. The return to work of millions of migrant workers contributed to the expansion after the extended Lunar New Year holiday. Both private and official PMIs showed an expansion in Chinese factory activity.
