Following a heat wave that started on Monday, the Greek authorities banned outdoor work between 12:00 and 17:00 in several regions, including Athens and the tourist islands. The measure mainly targets construction sites and delivery services. Temperatures are expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius in major cities and up to 43 degrees Celsius in the center of the country, and the heat wave will last until Sunday.
