The drone was active for an hour before the attack, having been launched from a direction suggesting it came from Lebanon, but not from Iran. British Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper, confirmed that the drone hit the base's runway, and defense sources identified it as a Shahed type, with possible Russian components.
