Finland has announced it is investigating an oil tanker that left a Russian port for 'sabotage' of an undersea power cable carrying electricity from its territory to Estonia. The EU welcomed the Finnish authorities' swift action and warned it will propose further measures, including sanctions, to target Russia's 'ghost fleet'. This warning comes as many similar incidents have occurred in the Baltic Sea since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
