The two leaders had a cordial meeting, with Erdogan wearing sunglasses in the bright sunlight. Although they did not make any press statements, Trump discussed with Erdogan and his wife about his new plane. Trump's visit came after NATO's announcement regarding arms agreements worth billions of euros, responding to his request for Europeans to invest more in defense. The NATO summit, held on Tuesday and Wednesday, addresses topics such as the war in Ukraine and the military spending of European members, emphasizing the alliance's commitment to mutual security. The central theme of the summit is strengthening Europe into a stronger NATO.
