The European Commission has announced it is suspending retaliation over President Trump's tariff surcharges, despite criticism of a deal deemed 'disappointing'. The suspension comes after months of negotiations, during which the EC had prepared a €93 billion list of US goods for the surtax. Although the measures are now 'on ice', European officials do not rule out reactivating them in the event of an escalation in trade tensions.
