The Dutch police announced on Tuesday the arrest of 230 supporters of the Italian club Napoli, ahead of the Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven. The arrests took place following provocative behavior by the supporters in the city center of Eindhoven on Monday evening. After interrogations, the fans were released but received fines and bans from attending the match and being in the city center. Authorities declared the match to be 'high risk', which led to the implementation of special security measures, including preventive searches.
