On Wednesday morning, a devastating fire broke out at a hotel in Kolkata, India, resulting in the death of at least nine people, including a child. The incident occurred around 2:50 AM (local time), on the second floor of the building, and firefighters managed to control the flames within an hour.

Approximately 30 people were evacuated safely, but at least six individuals required medical attention. According to reports, the deceased victims were citizens of Bangladesh who had come to Kolkata for medical treatment.
