Delcy Rodriguez, recently appointed interim president of Venezuela, stated that the country must resolve its internal divergences on its own, without external influences, especially from the United States. In a message addressed to oil workers in Anzoategui, she emphasized the high costs of fascism and extremism in Venezuela. Rodriguez took the oath on January 5, after the capture of President Nicolás Maduro by American forces. Since then, under pressure from Washington, she has signed oil agreements with the U.S., initiated legislative reforms, and released political prisoners. Recently, the White House expressed the intention to invite Rodriguez to the United States, following a phone conversation with the American president, who praised her for her actions.
