David Cameron underwent a PSA test, which showed a high result, followed by an MRI scan and a biopsy. The decision to get tested was influenced by his wife, who was inspired by a radio interview in which entrepreneur Nick Jones encouraged men to get tested.

Cameron emphasized the importance of discussions about men's health, mentioning that many delay talking about their health issues. He stated that he wants to use his experience to support the call of the organization Prostate Cancer Research, which promotes screening for high-risk men. Although there is no national screening program for prostate cancer in the UK, a recent study has been launched to identify the best methods for detecting the disease.
