Czechia could significantly reduce arms and ammunition deliveries to Ukraine, following the formation of the new government led by Andrej Babis. Filip Turek, the president of the Automobile Party and a possible future foreign minister, stated that the future executive will focus on diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine, shifting from military aid to humanitarian support and concentrating on national security. The Automobile Party, founded in 2022, has gained a decisive role in Parliament, but Turek's nomination could be contested due to previous controversies. The current foreign minister, Jan Lipavský, criticized the idea of limiting military aid, considering it a victory for Russia. The designated Prime Minister Babis has not yet clarified his position regarding the continuation of ammunition deliveries to Ukraine.
