Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš admitted that he picked flowers from a protected area on Lysá hora mountain, apologizing for his action. Babiš explained that he picked the flowers in memory of a deceased colleague from his ANO party, mentioning that he is willing to pay a fine if necessary.

In a video posted on Facebook, he was seen climbing with a bouquet of flowers, which he laid at a monument on the summit, accompanied by ministers and supporters.

An expert from the Ministry of the Environment stated that the flowers picked by Babiš are common species and that it is unlikely he will be sanctioned, emphasizing that there are no issues related to their collection, even in a national park.
