The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has suspended loading operations of oil after two tankers, ASIA and NISSOS IOS, were attacked by drones during operations at the terminal on the coast of the Black Sea in Russia. The attacks did not cause injuries or oil spills, but prompted an assessment of the incident's consequences.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan strongly condemned the attacks, considering them a violation of the country's economic interests and called for measures to protect the infrastructure. CPC, which transports 80% of Kazakhstan's oil exports, plays a crucial role in supplying the European Union with oil, and the recent attacks could significantly affect deliveries. Kazakhstan has urged international partners to condemn these attacks and to collaborate to ensure the security of the transport route. In the context of Kazakhstan becoming an important oil supplier for the EU, the incident highlights the vulnerabilities of energy infrastructure in the face of regional conflicts.
