Colombian President Gustavo Petro denounces an assassination plot against him as revenge for his fight against the country's mafia.

<p>Petro has said there are plans to fire missiles at his airplane, purchased by drug traffickers. He emphasized that his fight against Colombia's big mafias, including the ELN guerrillas, would be the reason such a plan would exist. The ELN has also launched an "armed blockade" in retaliation.
