The hot air oven delivered to the Chinese space station by the Shenzhou-21 mission has started to operate, allowing astronauts to prepare and enjoy chicken wings and freshly cooked steaks. In a video recording, space engineer Wu Fei demonstrated the cooking process, and the crew happily consumed the dishes.

The oven has been improved to function in microgravity conditions, featuring advanced technologies for temperature control and smoke emission filtration. The Shenzhou-21 mission has expanded the variety of foods available on the space station, allowing astronauts to cook various ingredients, including fresh vegetables and pastries. Additionally, research in the vegetable garden on the station has led to the cultivation of 10 batches of plants, providing astronauts with fresh food. This culinary evolution contributes to the well-being of astronauts during space missions.
