China has begun to restrict the export of essential components for drones to Ukraine, severely affecting the production capacity of the Ukrainian defense industry.

Iurii Lomikovskîi, co-founder of the Iron network, stated that Beijing is banning deliveries even to allied countries, such as Poland, to prevent Ukraine from accessing these components. Drones have become a crucial tool in the conflict with Russia, having a significant impact on Russian infrastructure. The Ukrainian defense industry, estimated at 35-40 billion dollars, relies heavily on imports from China, which offers components at lower prices than Western partners. Currently, Ukraine is seeking alternative solutions to obtain these components, including through American companies with units in Europe. Lomikovskîi emphasizes the need to develop local supply chains and attract European investments to remain competitive.
