China has begun extensive military exercises around Taiwan, launching missiles and deploying assault ships, bombers, and warships to practice a blockade.

These maneuvers, called "Justice Mission 2025", come just 11 days after the US announced a record arms package for Taiwan. China's Eastern Command announced that live-fire drills will take place in five locations around the island, and the Chinese military has conducted attack exercises on maritime and aerial targets.

Taiwan has responded by preparing its defense troops and intercepting Chinese vessels navigating in the contiguous zone of the island. The Ministry of Defense of Taiwan condemned China's actions, calling them "irrational provocations", while military exercises continue to affect trade and flight routes in the area.
