China will increase gas purchases from Russia, raising annual deliveries from 38 to 44 billion cubic meters through the Power of Siberia 1 pipeline.

Additionally, deliveries through a pipeline from the Far East will increase from 10 to 12 billion cubic meters. Gazprom and CNPC have signed a new cooperation memorandum and another for the construction of the Power of Siberia 2 pipeline, intended to deliver 50 billion cubic meters of gas in northwestern China.
