China's Ministry of Commerce will discuss with industry organizations and automakers, such as BYD and Dongfeng Motor, the rising sales of used cars that have not been driven. The phenomenon, dubbed 'zero-mileage second-hand cars', has arisen because of the industry's price war, with an estimated 3,000-4,000 sellers involved. The strategy is being used to boost new car sales. Shares in some carmakers fell on the stock market following the meeting's announcement.
