The Chinese semiconductor company Cambricon recorded a 4,000% increase in revenue in the first half of the year. This performance highlights the efforts of Chinese companies to become alternatives to Nvidia.

Cambricon reported revenues of 2.88 billion yuan (402.7 million USD) and a record net profit of 1.04 billion yuan in the first half of the year, significantly increasing compared to last year. This performance highlights the efforts of Chinese companies to become alternatives to Nvidia, which dominates the artificial intelligence chip market. However, Cambricon still lags far behind Nvidia, which reported revenues of 44 billion USD in the recent quarter.
