Bulgarian MEPs ask the European Commission to clarify whether river borders and ports fall within the scope of the Schengen agreement.

The request follows questions and signals from Bulgarian hauliers, who encounter difficulties with river borders. Bulgarian MEPs believe that it makes sense to abolish controls at river ports as part of the arrangements for Bulgaria's gradual accession to Schengen.
