After a three-year absence, Bulgaria will return to the Eurovision music contest, represented by DARA with the song ''Bangaranga'', which will open the second semifinal in Vienna on Thursday, according to the announcement from the Bulgarian National Television (BNT). The song, a mix of pop music with folk influences, has its roots in Jamaican slang, having connotations of agitation and beautiful disorder. DARA explained that the song was inspired by the kukeri ritual, in which men dressed in unusual costumes create noise to drive away evil spirits. The competition began on May 12, and DARA is among the favorites to qualify for the final, with a 77% chance according to betting house estimates. Alongside DARA, artists from various countries will perform on stage, and the final will also include representatives from the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, and Austria.
