Belgium is preparing for a three-day general strike organized by the main unions in response to the reforms of Prime Minister Bart De Wever's government, deemed a "social disaster." The actions will begin on Monday with public transport, with SNCB anticipating reduced train services. On Tuesday, schools, nurseries, and hospitals will join the strike, and on Wednesday, no commercial flights will take off from Brussels airports. De Wever's government, in power since February, has proposed structural reforms to reduce debt, but his coalition is divided regarding their implementation. The unions accuse the government of disrespect and demand a swift agreement to avoid social division. This strike movement comes after previous protests against budget cuts.
