On Friday night the Ukrainian military carried out a drone attack on several Russian regions in response to an earlier massive Russian attack. Russian anti-aircraft defenses shot down at least two drones near St. Petersburg, and operations at Pulkovo airport were temporarily suspended. Other regions, such as Smolensk and Voronezh, reported the destruction of more drones, with the Russian Defense Ministry announcing a total of 42 drones downed. Loud explosions were also heard in Borisoglebsk and Cheboksari, indicating the escalation of the conflict.
