Devastating wildfires have ravaged a tourist region in Chile, with dozens burning in the center and south of the country. A state of disaster has been declared in Valparaiso and rescue and evacuation efforts are being prioritized. More than 1,400 firefighters, 1,300 soldiers and volunteers are battling the blaze, and field hospitals have been set up to treat those affected.
